Ambassador of Pakistan Mohammad Nadeem Khan, called on the Greek Minister for Migration, H.E. Notis Mitarakis on September 24, 2020. Both had a detailed discussion on issues of mutual interest, including liberalization of visa regime for Pakistani nationals, difficulties faced by Pakistani residents of Greece who hold blue veviosi, but are unable to return to Greece from Pakistan due to travel restrictions, and the case of arrest of Pakistani labourers in Crete. The Minister for Migration assured the Ambassador that these issues would be resolved soon. The two sides agreed to take concrete steps to further strengthen mutual cooperation in combating human smuggling and related crimes. The meeting was also attended by Alternate Minister for Migration, H.E. Giorgos Koumoutsakos.
